Mount Vernon Condo
Our family wants to travel. We love the existing west, the beach, nowhere Ridge and Smoky Mountains and historic sites such as Mount Vernon and Independence Hall. Our house owns an apartment at Chetola Resort in Blowing Rock, North Carolina around the Blue Ridge Parkway. This has been a family group get-a-way for many years and that we never tire of the attractiveness of the mountains, the slow pace and the amenities the area provides. From your quaint little capital of scotland- Blowing Rock using its shops and restaurants to Linville Falls and Caverns and Biltmore House to pursuits like riding, skiing, whitewater rafting and hiking.
In May of 2009 i was offered a friend's condo to get a week in Bradenton, Fl. Excited to visit, every one of the preparations had been made. Actually, a few days had not been available in the end and that we thought our trip could be canceled. We could have decided to remain in an accommodation, but that might 't be very comfortable for five people. So we started brainstorming. If we would use someone's condo for that week, maybe we could trade weekly at our condo for any week in Florida. We started emailing other owners of rental properties of similar size and price. After about Six or seven attempts with without results we found a delightful 2 bedroom house in St. Petersburg, Fl. empyrean.net Their ad over a vacation rental site read "would consider swapping", therefore we emailed the dog owner and 2 days later we'd an agreement. We might visit St. Petersburg in June and the other owner would stay weekly at our devote Blowing Rock in November. Our condo is not usually booked much in November so it was a win-win both for folks.
As it turns out not being on the beach was obviously a blessing as we visited 6 different beaches. No cash changed hands so no taxes were required. With all the savings on the rental or hotel we had been in a position to visit 2 amusement parks. We spent one day at Busch Gardens then one at Seaworld.
